Privacy notice
1. Scope
This notice explains how Know Your Number SA handles personal information submitted through its website, email, WhatsApp and third-party booking page. It should be read with the privacy terms of any platform you choose to use.
2. Private browser-only tools
The financial wellness calculator and Will Readiness Check do not ask for your name, phone number, email address, ID number, estate value, health information or detailed financial information. Their answers and results are calculated in your browser and are not intentionally sent to our servers, an adviser, an AI service or a lead database. Refreshing or closing the page clears the displayed result.
3. Information you choose to send
If you contact us or book a call, we may receive the contact details, message and scheduling information you provide. Do not include identity documents, account numbers, passwords, payment-card information, medical details or full financial statements in an initial enquiry.
4. Purpose and sharing
We use enquiry information to respond, manage the requested appointment, keep an appropriate record and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers used for email, scheduling, hosting or messaging, subject to their terms and appropriate safeguards.
5. Retention and security
We aim to keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, legal requirements and legitimate record-keeping. No online service is risk-free, so request a suitable secure channel before sending sensitive documents.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you and request correction or deletion where the law permits. You may also object to or withdraw consent for optional direct marketing. Contact us using the details below so that we can verify and handle the request.
7. Contact
Email simba.nyatsambo@sanlam4u.co.za or visit the contact page. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa's Information Regulator using the official contact channels published by that office.
8. Education and professional services
This site provides general education and introductions, not financial, investment, insurance, tax or legal advice. If you later engage a regulated or professional service provider, that provider must give you its own identity, authorisation, privacy and complaints information.
